Tanner Hallows: part of the 1% Part I

Tanner Hallows is a life-long resident. He cares deeply about the city. Part II will be a deeper discussion on what the 20'somethings would like to see happen in Kaysville, as he shares his perspective. Tanner represents the upcoming generation, a group often times underrepresented yet powerful as this age group is positioned to enter the housing market, influence legislation, and ultimately define the future of politics. 

Neka Roundy: Former Mayor, Council Member, and GOP Activist

Neka Roundy will go down in history as Kaysville City's first female Mayor.  Kaysville was the first city in Davis County, Utah. The City was incorporated in 1868.  140 years later, Neka broke the proverbial glass ceiling in Kaysville. In this episode, she talks about some of her accomplishments including the 200 North overpass and shares tips and advice.

Lorin Jeppsen: ”The Lead, Live, Love Group” and Lifelong Fitness in Kaysville

Lorin Jeppsen founded the "Lead, Live, Love Group" to teach people about Emotional Intelligence. As a military officer, he participated in many leadership training programs that didn't produce leaders.  In order to bridge this gap, Lorin founded his company in 2021.

Chad Call is a Volunteer Parade Director for Kaysville City. Professionally Chad works at Fusion Imaging as an Events and Special Projects Manager. He has an MBA and BS in Design Innovation and Design Architecture.

Rachel Lott: New Kaysville Planning Commissioner.

Meet Kaysville City's Newest Planning Commission Member, Rachel Lott. Rachel expressed a desire to learn more about Kaysville City Government and was recently appointed to serve on the Planning Comission. In this episode you'll learn more about Rachel and how you too can get involved in our great city.

Lorene Kamalu: Davis County Commissioner, Kaysville Resident

Lorene is running for a second term to continue her service as a Davis County Commissioner. She feels strongly that Commissioners should be full-time and be compensated accordingly. She believes a 3 member Commission is also appropriate and in this episode, she explains her reasons why. We also discuss the roles of County Commissioners and how the County Commission works with the 15 cities in Davis County, Utah. Lorene was raised in Indiana. Her husband served in the Air Force and after being stationed at Hill for 4 years, they decided to make Kaysville their forever home.   in 2013 Lorene decided to run for Public Office. She started to attend Kaysville City Council meetings and was appointed to serve on the Planning Commission. As a life-long learner, Lorene decided to return to school and earned her Master's Degree to better understand Public Administration.      

Wilf Sommerkorn: Kaysville Land Use - Growth, Density, Water

Wilf serves on the Board of Directors for APA Utah “APA Utah provides vision and leadership for the future development and re-development of Utah communities.” -www.apautah.org As co-chair of the APA Utah Legislative Committee, Wilf advises the Utah League of Cities and Towns and provides critical updates to municipal leaders across the state.  Wilf blogs about Land Use and Legislation in the Utah Land Use Politics Blog: https://utahlanduse.org/blog/ In this episode we discuss Kaysville City-specific land use trends, policies, and the impact and effectiveness of public engagement.  Wilf is currently serving as a Planning Commissioner for Kaysville City and has been instrumental in guiding the commission through the most recent draft update of Kaysville City’s General Plan
