Our community of Oaxaca in Utah is a non-profit organization, and we are happy to be able to show our beautiful state of Oaxaca through the food, tradition, customs, education, dance, and love of our Oaxacan people.
The Guelaguetza
Norma Carver is the brilliant creator of Oaxaca in Utah which began more than 10 years ago. During the course of that time it was decided in 2020 to carry out the first Guelaguetza, we were 7 families that came together and enjoyed our beautiful Oaxaca.
Please join them on July 22, 20203 in Kaysville at Heritage Park for their Celebration of Culture, Food, Traditions and Small Businesses!
In 2021 it is decided to make the first public Guelaguetza for the state of Utah. The event was a success, we had the participation of 500-550 people.
This 2022 La Guelaguetza 2022 is organized and the number of people is 7,000 people who came together in one place to enjoy this solemn Oaxacan festivity.

Abbi and her husband moved to Utah several years ago and fell in love with Kaysville with their three girls.
