Brett Anderson: Farmington Mayor, Former City Councilman, Attorney, Neighbor
Tuesday Aug 09, 2022
Tuesday Aug 09, 2022
Mayor Brett Anderson began his term in January 2022. His main goal as Mayor is the hope that "people will feel heard and core issues will be addressed without raising taxes and sacrificing any key services"
Brett was first elected to the city council in 2011 and decided to run for Mayor with the encouragement of the outgoing Mayor.
He's an attorney by day, a Mayor Part-Time "aka" all the time, and a Father and Husband.
In this episode, we discuss the things we've learned during our first 7 months of service and future plans for our cities.
As Davis County cities, these relationships with nearby cities are crucial as we navigate the challenges of regional growth, plan for transportation, and interact as neighbors and friends while making recommendations to create positive changes for our communities.

Scott Simpson is well known in Political Circles. He was the former Executive Director of the Utah Republican Party and worked with Senator Hatch, and Representative Bishop in their administrations.
Scott is currently serving as the President/CEO of the Utah Credit Union Association. He was their top pick, chosen to represent the Credit Unions during an especially critical time. He's an effective communicator with an outstanding reputation, as one who builds consensus through mutual trust and respect.
He was recently asked to Co-Host a new podcast for KSL called "KSL at Night." Since its inception, much of the podcast's popularity is because Scott and other Co-Hosts have been able to land interviews with people who aren't interested in speaking to 'the press' but are interested in speaking with them.
Scott is a Political leader in the State and is considered to be the Political Guru for all things Kaysville where he and his family reside.

This is a special episode featuring my friends, Aaron and Fiauna Lund. Oftentimes, when we hear that friends and neighbors are facing challenging trials, many of us are at loss not knowing how to reach out or what we can do to support and love them. I'm grateful they were willing to courageously share their story so that we can rally and offer encouragement and prayers as we Seek and Expect Miracles for Fiauna.
Last November (2021) Fiauna was diagnosed with Arrhythmogenic Right Ventricular Cardiomyopathy (ARVC). This news was especially difficult to accept because Fiauna has dedicated her life to sharing her talents and time teaching others to be passionate about health and wellness with her heart-healthy, active lifestyle.
She shared the following post on FB which describes her current status as she patiently awaits a heart transplant:
Fiauna is a wife, mother to four children, and writer. She's written and published two novels: "Indigo" and "In the Twilite" https://www.amazon.com/Fiauna-Lund/e/B006LPTUMW%3Fref=dbs_a_mng_rwt_scns_share
